Below is the link to the Prologue of the first book of my new “Edge of Fear Series”:
False Faces.
Characters and references make more sense if you’ve read “The Justin Wright Suspense Series”
I’m looking forward to hearing what you think! (Positive AND negative)

Oooh! I’m hooked. Thank you so much for sharing this! This is my favorite series of all time. I can’t wait!
Thank you, Cara! So glad you’re hooked. Will continue writing as quickly as I can!
Oh my gosh! You nailed first person. I may be a little biased, but I really love this beginning…and this is going to lead to an incredible story. I enjoy so much the way you write. The ‘voice’ of the characters is real. You capture the emotions of the reader (me). I can wait and only because you asked…but I am excited for your next book.
Thank you, Linda. As you know, I was concerned about “first-person”. This still needs to be edited (and proofread), but I’m glad it caught you up in the story!
Looking forward to reading this new series, Rob. If the twists and turns are anything like the The justin Wright series, time to buckle up!
Different types of twists, Sandra. Hoping they’ll be just as exciting and I hope you’ll let me know if they are… or aren’t. 🙂
Absolutely love this already Rob!! Amazing. Wonderful start. And really do love the first person point of view. Love it!! Cannot wait for this series. But now how important time is, to pour yourself into it. You got this. Again! Thanks for keeping us engulfed in the Wright’s world.
Thanks for the words of encouragement AND for enjoying Wright’s world. It’s a place I’ll never give up. 🙂
Thank you so much for sharing this! I can’t wait toseewhathappensnext!
Thank you, Denise. I can’t wait either!
Man, I can’t even begin to find the words I want to say, I’m hooked already. When does the whole book come out?
Thank you, Brittany. I’m hoping for release in March-ish. Depends on quite a few things that need to come together. Will definitely keep you posted!
Thank you for sharing a small taste of your book (so awesome)! I really enjoyed the story line. I did however have to go back and reread the initial prologue again to completely understand what this kid writer had experienced and was currently going through mentally to get the overall picture.
There was a lot of heavy information devulged initially and my ADHD brain couldn’t comprehend it all at once. Henceforth rereading the beginning.
But, what I want to know is what was the back story of good ole gramps and the surrounding cause of his demise?!
Thanks for reading it, Trisha. As you can see on the initial page with the link, the Prologue (and series) makes sense if you’ve read the “Justin Wright Suspense Series”. That’s the backstory I think you’re looking for. It’s way too much to get into in a post, I’m afraid.
Trisha! If you haven’t, read the Justin Wright series before March-ish. You will not be disappointed! Binge read haha!
Trisha, I’ve never been a fan of “series” as I prefer “stand alones”. The Justin Wright series changed my mind. Start reading now! You will not be disappointed.
Thanks so much for giving us a peek. You are rocking the whole first person approach! Can’t wait until I can read the finished product. You never disappoint. Happy New Year!
Thanks so much, Debbie. That’s so nice to hear and I’m glad my first-person is working for you… it still feels a bit strange. 🙂
Wow! I’m hooked! When I read a good book or watch a great movie, I sometimes fantasize about what happens “afterwards”. I have been invested in this family and am excited to see that with this next series. “First person” is perfect for this series. I imagine myself sitting in a room with Daniel while he tells me his story. Fantastic prologue. I can’t wait for the series.
Thanks so much, Meghan. I’m so glad you enjoyed it. More to come!
OMG!!! Excited for the rest of this!!! xo
XO. Me, too!
I was never a “first person ” fan, but you’ve clearly changed my perspective. My heart aches for your protagonist and I eagerly anticipate your new series.
TY, Joanie. I hope you continue to feel that way as you read on…:)
